One of the hallmarks of a successful player is the ability to think the game.  Too often we hear the player has great skills but lacks 'hockey sense'.  Many people believe you can't teach hockey sense, but at MHA we know differently.  We have seen the improvement in players ability to think the game.  Through daily participation in small area games, players learn to use teammates, to create offense and to make good decisions.  Drills look good when drawn up on a practice board, but the game of hockey is chaotic and unpredictable.  The most successful players are the ones who develop the ability to read the play, react, and make good decisions.  At MHA this is done through our small games practice.
